Becker BK1 Brute Surface?

I just got a used BK1, and the finish on it is definatly worn, how do I restore it properly?

Being a black epoxy powder coat, you must first sandblast it all off and then reapply a fresh coat.

Thanks, aside from actually properly doing it, whats a good way to make at least black, asside from using gun blueing kits?

I'm confused... it's already black.

Yes the blade is black, or at least was when new, now that it has been very used, the blade is wearing off (such as when the blueing on a gun starts to go away...)

I am confused. What happens if you just apply more epoxy, let it cure, and sand it until smooth?

From what I hear it doesn't work like that, but I'm not an authority on such things.
