Hey guys
,
I currently use my Becker BK2 as a camp knife when I am backpacking. What I usually do with this knife is basically splitting mid-sized logs (3.5-6.5 inches) , making kindling, and occasional chopping. I know my BK2 will handle anything I'll throw at it (albeit fine detail work) but it is just so dang heavy I sometimes struggle to remember while I'm hauling it 15-20 miles daily.
So I'm looking to maybe replace the BK2 with the BK15 for backpacking, since it's so much smaller, and I'm wondering what the tradeoffs would be to use the 15, such as splitting proficiency, hacking ability, overall toughness, ergonomics, and any other information that might be helpful to my application.
Thanks bunches!
