Here is a one more way to put the great BK2 into good use....LOL. Right now it's durian fruiting season in Borneo and the BK2 fits in perfectly when it comes to opening this spiky fruit. Haha!

Yes, it does have a strong smell and takes an acquired taste. Like blue cheese...hehe!

Looks hideous and tastes like rotten cheese. Wow, what's not to love about a fruit like that?

Great pics, and interesting fruit, I had never heard of it before.

Dude, that is a crazy looking kumquat. (HA!)

I thought those were made up in the video game Madagascar 2 for nintendo wii.

I just showed your pics to my daughter and she got a kick out of them.

By God, it just doesn't get any better than Durian season in Borneo. And dynamite.

and that's a SMALL durian too :)

mmm, tasty

Running with the Durians in Borneo. From the dynamite of course.

I wanna see someone get hit in the head with that fruit.......you can make weapons out of that fruit

It doesn't taste like bleu cheese, he just said it's an acquired taste, like bleu cheese. Once you acquire the taste and get past the smell though, it's like a fruity mocha flavor. Freezing/chilling it helps a little.

You should see a jackfruit. looks similar, but can get to 10x bigger.

Damn man you have beautiful hands, You should be a hand model or sumthin'

Oh no, that was my son opening the durian while I took the shot.

Well, the fruit is really very nutricious but I have to say not everyone takes to them readily. It is sweet, creamy and packs very high protein, vitamins and mineral content. The smell is very strong.

Flexxx, ripe durians drop from the trees almost entirely at night, so best stay under a sturdy roof at night in season and do not pitch your tent or hammock under the durian trees in this region.

Hey, you guys are certainly adventurous lot. Hehe!

Cheers!

I had durian a couple of times when I was a little kid.... I only remembered it tasting like a cross between a mushy mango and banana. It didn't taste bad but I wouldn't purposely go buy it to eat.

I'd like to see some Durian in Bladite's contest.

Word on the street is that tradewater has joined a Durian smuggling ring. Here he is bringing in some fruits under the cover of tarp.
