Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with both of these knives? I want one to keep in my trunk for emergencies. Aside from the blade shape are they that different? I like the sheath of the Crewman as I’m not too fond of Kydex sheaths, but the Companion is a nicer looking knife IMO.

I just noticed someone else ask the same question in the Blade Discussion Forum. :( Sorry

I have both. Both are great knives and very useful. The campanion is substantially heavier and is more useful for chopping, digging, prying chores; but it can also cut/slice fairly well. The BK10 is lighter. It is a more useful cutter/slicer and less handy for heavier chores (chopping, prying).

Both will serve well for a variety of tasks. If I had to carry or hike with one, I'd choose the BK10. For a vehicle knive, I think I'd go with the campanion. They're not all that expensive, so you might want to get both.
