Hey guys, I want to personalize a knife for a friend and besides some engraving and other fun stuff, I wanted to get a nice horizontal leather sheath and some new scales.

I love this knife as-is, but wanted to make something special for a friend. Can anyone recommend some places or people that sell new handles and a horizontal sheath?

well skystorm has a great selection of leather for EVERY becker (even ones that arent currently produced) and if you want wood scales tommythewho is hard to beat, however if you want micarta then kabar makes some or you can make it (just impregnate fabric with fiberglass resin) or check fleabay

If you have a drill press, you can make some custom bow drill divots on the micarta (for holding the top of the stick thats spinning against the wood, to make embers). Then it would be custom & simple to do. I have a 1/2" & a 3/4" drill bit for this. Just make SURE the knife is not going to spin. Sharp spinning blades = shorter fingers.
 
If you want a pimped 5, its skystorm for the leather, tomars for the micarta (or saints cutlery for black canvas), and hook him up with a sweet patina. best looking knife of the bunch really.
