Help meee!!! i cannot decide between these two, from what i see they are both good looking, good steel, tough as hell al though the swamp rat might have the edge there. however seems that the BK9 is better for the smaller stuff. I will buy one of these two but which????

Convince me please, many thanks for any help :D

Never had a Becker, but I have a Battle Rat- It is badass. The handle is very comfortable for hard use, also. And the warranty is the best there is.

The Battle Rat is a tough knife but the BK9 is right up there close and costs a good bit less. I have a Battle Rat and two BK9's. I use the BK9's more than the Battle Rat. I don't sweat possibly losing the BK9, abusing it, chipping the edge or ruining the finish since they didn't cost but about $60 compared to twice or more that for the Battle Rat.

But if you did any of those things to the BR, or broke it, (maybe not losing it, though) it would be covered by the warranty. They shouldnt be safe queens. :)

In my opinion, Beckers are the best knives for the money but the BR is obviously the better knife.

The Swamp Rat is by far the better knife, but if you can't afford it check out the Ranger RD9: it's much better than the Becker, and only a bit more expensive.
