Well, based on all the positive comments I have read on the forums, I ordered a Becker K&T C/U7 yesterday. It should arrive today. This will be my first Becker knife.

I was looking for a rugged and reliable tool and from what I have read, this knife should fill the bill. The price was right too.

My God, Big-Target. Mere mention of my first woman caused my heart to palpiptate. I hope my new Becker doesn't have quite that effect on me. At least not over the long term.

The new knife came yesterday. I have not had a chance to use it as yet. However, I do have a plum tree to remove and will be removing smaller branches with the Becker.

What I can say from my initial observation is that the knife came reasonably sharp. Fit and finish seem fine. The handle, which I feared would be somewhat large in circumference, is actually quite comfortable and secure. The sheath, it seems, will offer good protection and security for the knife and me.

I look forward to my tree removal project.

By the way, based on RokJok's comments about the low cost at Bayou Lafourche, I bought the knife from them. This was my first dealing with these folks and it was a pleasure. Service was prompt and courteous.

You made a good choice and will receive good value for your money.
