Becker Campanion blade thickness

Hey folks. I just picked up a BK&T Campanion. Love it, but I expected from all that I've read that the blade was going to be 0.250". It is in fact the same as my BK7 at 0.188". Can anyone here shed some light on this?

If this has already been discussed, my apology, but I cannot search to find out.

As far as I know, according to all catalogs and flyers I have, the BK2 came in .250 and .230 thickness. But........................

Wow. THAT confused me. It looks like the thickness ranges from 0.188" (which I have) to 0.217" for the Camillus's, and a full 0.250" for the old Blackjack.

I just dug out my BK2s, and both showed to be 3/16. Not sure what that is in thousandths of an inch, but is not close to .250.
With all of the variations, it may have been whatever metal they were getting a good deal on at the time.

All Camillus made BK2's were .188" - if that helps!
