  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Becker Choil Mods: How are you doing them?

I used my dremel. Mark the circumference of the coil you want with a washer or equal size, stick your blade in a vice, and grind away making sure you're not removing too mach material too fast so you don't put too much heat into the blade screwing with the heat treat.

sanding drum on a dremel. I lightly sit my finger on the edge to see just how big i want it. then draw with a sharpie and sand to your marks.

For this one I traced the choil of my ESEE4 on to the blade, took a file to it to remove the edge, then i took my dremel with a sanding drum and worked it down slowly so the blade did not get hot at all and here it is, still awaiting a handle.

Dremel Tool & large grinding wheel, then large sanding drum.

I bought a Dremel 4000 kit, but any one will do. Almost a must have for knife mods. I used the cutoff wheel for jimping.

I've been biting chunks of metal out of the blade. :D

How I to it is I lightly hold the knife on the blade to rough out the length then I make a semi circle with how I think will look good. Then dremel.

Recommendation: Your first idea is often not the best so don't feel like your lines are set in stone. The blade should never be too hot to touch so glove up and cut until it feels comfortable in the hand, as in the whole blade. After that smooth out the rough edges and you're done. I ended up cutting half of what I marked out when I cut the choil on my 7.

Also post pics.
