Where can you get these scales and will they work on the becker bk2 ?
They also have them for the Bk9 I I want some for it as well...

Interesting. But, like the Gingrich designed RD series (and Ontario as well), the scales are flat, with no contouring. Not nearly as ergonomic as the Becker scales. The RD knives are darn good knives, but the handle ergos leave something to be desired.
And they are branded as Camillus. Is this just a very old ad, I am thinking?

You may be right..looking at the handle/pommel area would suggest that this is an older version of a bk2. Still they look nice.

I remember a knife shop making scales like that. I don't remember exactly which one it was, but they did require drilling of the handles of the knifed. Whether these are the same ones or not, I'd much rather have the factory scales or ka bar micarta ergonomics wise.

I have 2 sets of scales from Tommy and they are the best I have seen. They are very comfortable and look better then micarta in my opinion. Here is a link to the two sets I have. (still waiting on my membership upgrade to go through so I can post pic's)

Again, great job Tommy. It won't be long before I order a set for my 2 and my 4....Have you thought about making set's for the tweeners?

I do make Tweeners , All the same woods, slightly larger outline to fit the knife handle exactly same contour profile as factory any thickness you specify.

Awesome. I didn't see any on ebay where I bought the other two sets but I also haven't looked in a while. You do a great job...keep up the great work.

I know Tommy's scales are comfortable. I was talking about the scales in the op.

I have a lot of flat scales. They're good for larger hands, but the newer Ka-Bar micarta offers better ergos for a range of hand sizes and shapes. You can add liners to beef them up if needed.

I've noticed that the flat scales work the best on the non-choppy Beckers. With extended chopping, the flat handle eventually gets uncomfortable. I prefer the contoured scales for the choppers.

With the factory scales, the 10 never really appealed to me all that much. It always feels a little too big and butt-heavy and moves all wrong. But a few months ago, I put a set of flat scales from Tommythewho on my BK-10, and that knife is just about perfect now. The balance point moved forward just enough and it feels more alive in the hand. Believe me, if you have a 10 and want it to balance and feel a whole lot better, a set of Tommy's flat dual-wood scales is the way to go.
