I see that Becker cooking knives were made from about 2012 to 2014 and wouldn't mind getting a set.

Has anyone used these knives and does anyone know where to still get them.

Thinking to get them for the wife for in the kitchen. Right now it's a mixture of Victorinox, Morakniv and Opinel, be nice to have a set of matching knives.

I have a set; I grabbed the last set in stock with an Australian online retailer so can't help you find them.
They're inexpensive, solid and very functional. I wouldn't call them fancy by any stretch but nor do they need to be. I think yhey use 1.4116 steel which as far as I know is also used by some companies which produce much more expensive knives. They take an excellent edge snd hold it okay. It's easy to maintain a good edge with them and a couple of minutes maintenance will go a long way.. I have a set of Globals as well and I would say the Beckers have slightly better edge retention (not to mention they cost a couple hundred dollars less!)

All in all they are well worth the money and if I hadn't bought the last set I wouldn't hesitate to get another as a gift for someone.

Don't need anything fancy, we like things basic and functional and these knives are right up our alley.

Sounds like they are a good buy, found a place online that had one set left (google can find all kinds of stuff), got them ordered. That should keep the wife happy for a while, happy wife, happy life! (plus she can't complain as much when my outdoorsy knives show up in the mail;))

They are a great value and very functional. Your wife will love them, mine does.

Awesome thanks Moose, they actually look very good. Will have to keep my eyes open for a set. Wouldnt mind that paring knife. Looks a bit longer than usual which is good.

The "paring knife" is quite long. I think it's a general utility and is just about perfect as a carver for small roasts, chicken and cutting steaks from a fillett.

These knives really are awesome and they stand up well against some much more expensive brands. Also since they are Becker/Esee I think they are covered by th Esee warranty. So if you ever need to use one to cut through a car door...

Do we know if there is any though being given to another run of Becker kitchen knives at some point? Ethan's well known love of good food a line of Becker kitchen knives makes sense.

Cooking knives came in today, they look good to me, the wife should like them.

And just in time for this weekend, March 14, steak & bj day.

Very nice set. Let us know how they perform and feel.

They feel and perform like a chef designed them. They are awesome, and the custom made santoku that sparked it all off, I use in E's kitchen when he actually lets me in the kitchen........stingy ol bastid.....

Mine are grouped with a Ka-Bar chef and a Cutco paring. We barely use the Wusthofs these days.
