Becker dealers in St. Pete's Beach FL?

Good afternoon Becker-nuts!

I will be venturing out of my cozy Ontario snowdrift in the near future to spend a week in Florida, St. Pete's Beach to be exact. Now the thing is, I really have a strong dislike for warm climates and avoid traveling to warm areas whenever possible, especially when the weather at home is cold. i think its safe to say I won't be getting any snowboarding in once in FL, so to make the best of a bad situation, I plan to pick up a Becker or two while there. I am hoping some of you may have suggestions for retail stores in that area that carry the Becker lineup. Also, its been a very long time since I got my shoot on, so I would love to find a gun range as well. Preferably one that has a bunch of different firearms that can be shot. You know, pay your fee and shoot a bunch of stuff. I've never has the experience of using any semi-auto or full auto weapons and have always wanted to. I remember this was available back when I went to Nevada (didn't get around to it) but are there any outfits in FL that offer this?

I dont know about FL but I have never seen a Becker in a real store. Maybe order online and have it sent to where you are staying.
 
Where in Ontario are you? I know le baron sells the bk9 and bk7 and there is a store near woodbine racetrack that carries the lineup. sorry I can't help you with Florida though.

Hmm, good point Psyop, I had not considered that. I'll have to just nose around and see what turns up, if anything.

I'm in Kitchener, OlDutch. Thanks for the tips, I had not heard of le baron before.
 
Havent seen any Beckers in stores, sorry. But from St Pete Beach, head north on I275, across the Howard Frankland bridge to Fletcher Ave. Take a left, and Shooters World will be on your right, just past the exit. Brand new, huge, beautiful, lots o'guns to shoot.
 
I have no idea about FL, but I know in the Portland Vancouver, WA area you can get Beckers at a few of the gun stores and at Excalibur Cutlery(according to the website) in Clackamas Town Center. I have seen the 3, 7, 9 and 11 in the gun stores. However, I have not been able to find a store here that sells the 14. bummer

i live in the area but never bought a Becker in a store.. always online for me. Bill Jacksons is a cool store with lots of different gear for outdoor activities.. firearms, camping, diving, etc but i don't believe they have Beckers.
 
I wish I had a brick and mortar around me with any type of decent knife selection, that'd be badass, and dangerous :D

I meant to mention this in my first post, but here ya go:

One of the Scoutmasters I know who went there recently confirmed the presence of BK&T product in their knife/pokey thing area. He's not anywhere near 'Head-dom, but he loves my knives and was looking for a local (relatively speaking, I'm out on the east edge of Polk County) place to buy them, and he was checking the place out and noticed them.

G.I. Joe's in North Attleboro, MA has a good selection. They may not be the newest (i.e. BK&T knives might still have the smooth coating as opposed to the truck-bed liner), but they certainly have them. Make sure you go in when Patricia is working (90% of the time they're open, she's working) and tell her Joseph sent you.
 
I'm back from Florida and had a great time so I thought I'd follow up on this thread. Bill Jackson's was a very cool place but had no Beckers. I visited Shooter's World as well, which is a friggin paradise but they only had a BK14 in the case. Unfortunately they have a store policy that non-US residents cannot rent firearms. That was a huge bummer but fortunately someone who overheard my predicament pointed us to Shooting Sports at 7811 N Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa. It was about 10-15 minutes away from Shooters World and they were able to hook us up with a few rentals for the afternoon. Being an Ontario resident where to my knowledge there are no ranges that rent firearms, this was a HUGE win and an afternoon well spent!

If you are passing through Ohio, meet me and I'll take you to an Army-Navy store I know in Pataskala.They carry the full line of not only Becker Knife & Tool, but also KaBar, Ontario Cutlery, and Cold Steel as well.
