I am very impressed with Mr. Becker's ability to design a great tool. Does anyone know of any that never made it to production? Or maybe some that were produced by the earlier BK&T that are not being produced by Camillus?

Yes. The one that had a Pez dispensor for a handle, instead of the GV6H scales that we see now on all the BK-X knives. :p

What is this I see on the cover of the booklet that came with my Sharpmaker?

It is a BK&T Rienhart(sp) Khukri. It was made back in the Blackjack days. I remember see one a couple of months ago(still for sale) at country knives of Intercourse PA. If you want it call them at (717)768-3818.

I'm probably going to regret this!!!:footinmou

Will oh Will are your listening?????

Shootist and I both agree that the Kukri design is a very:D worth while
addition to the Becker line.

Man I almost get a woody looking at that blade:D :D :D :D

There is a certain other company that is partially known for it's khukuris.

There exists a rumour that this other company has it's khukuris made by a well known OEM manufacturer of which we are familiar.

Due this rumoured relationship the OEM manufacturer of our acquaintance cannot offer khukuris for a certain gentlemen of our esteem.

And that is probably the most double-speak I will engage in for the next 10 years.

Good, 'cause now I'm really confused.

Sucks when people talk secret stuff, and leave me out in the cold.
I wish we all knew who that maker was MDP. Do they use good steel?
:p

Hmmmmm......Sound like the "mystery " carbon V steel.
Stuff that rusts in heartbeat.

That would really be shame too. Camillus and Becker
could do this design so much better:( :(

"Mystery" Carbon V steel "that rusts in heartbeat" (probably 50100) or its current variation by Camillus, "cuts like a screaming witch" quote Mr. Becker, who added that Camillus knows its heat treat (article in Tactical Knives, I believe). This superb high carbon steel may rust easily, but that's easily remedied by a wide variety of rust preventives. (My favorite is BreakFree.) I treasure my CS Carbon V blades, every stain and mottle.
