I got a set from knifeworks too, great price and super fast shipping! The knives are excellent, even my wife has commented on how nice they are and she uses a butter knife to cut up vegetables.. :D
 
Tempting even thought the wife doesn't need them as she has a decent set of Wustoff Classic knives. Oh well.
 
It's been that way for a while and I've been tempted to get a set or two as gifts.

This is what I did! Set for my brother and his wife, set for my friends(x3), set for my mom, my cousin, my aunt, my uncle... Yeah, I like them!

That's what I want to do, but about five years ago I bought my folks and siblings a cable-tv special: about six kitchen knives for $50. They were very well received, and some of them managed to cut themselves (sharp!).

When I placed the order over the phone, the sellers told me (in late November) that shipping might take six weeks, missing Christmas (!), unless I wanted to spend an extra $25 for expedited shipping. I declined, and all the knives arrived in two weeks anyway. They also offered to sell me for an additional $40 a wood block for the knives so they could be proudly displayed on the kitchen counter. I declined, and all the knives came with wood blocks anyway. :rolleyes:

Obviously those were cheap knives, and I did send my family members a cheap kitchen knife sharpener, but just maybe it's time for me to buy them this set.
