Becker Folder

So I just mentioned this in another thread, but I thought I would break it out into its own topic. Seeing as how the Izula is so often compared to the BK11 Necker and RAT has announced that they are coming out with an Izula folder, what would you like to see out of a BK11 folder? Would you like to see the BK11 turned into a folder in some way, or is there another Becker, or elements of Becker knives that you would like to see in a folder?

a folding Machax :)

or a multi tool with several blades... Machax, Magnum Camp, and a firesteel ;)

It would actually be real cool.
I think the BK11 is kinda like the Izula, but with a bigger blade (which is an advantage, for me), and yet a smaller / less comfy handle (which is the only disadvantage).
Making the BK11-like folder, would force a bigger and hopefully more comfy handle.
To me, it sounds like a winner.

I'd like the same blade shape of the BK11, but smaller. Give me grivory scales on a thinner skeletonized steel frame. The pommel should maintain the trademark hammer pommel. Lockback would be just fine with me. It would be a beefy folder, but I think it would be awesome.

I would like to see a FULL SIZE folder, none of these wimpy little pocket folders. I would like to see a BK2 made into a folder, with FULL SIZE BK2 stock grips.

keep the blade the same thickness too, and beef up the folder frame to abotu 1/8" or more.

I'm with Bushy, with the exception that I think the blade could be around 3/16".

Another vote for this one:thumbup:

I think in do time a folder would be cool. I would like to see the crewman and carver come out first. Then maybe one of the monster choppers. I have many folders and don't seem to be that hard on them. They don't wear out. I use my little fixed blades much more. :D

I've got a BK11 and love it, but a version with a full-size handle would be nice, with optional scales. I like the bottle opener rear, but the hammer-back or whatever you call it would be cool too. That would put it in the RAT-3 class instead of the Izula category, if those are the basis for comparison. For those of us in 3"-or-less areas, a strict 2-7/8" blade variation would be neat as well.

Also optional scales for the BK11 would be nice - keep the lanyard holes clear and inset the scales through the skeletonized cut-outs and bolt 'em together. I'm going to try this with wood, but I'm not that crafty...

I'm currently crushing on a BK2, but haven't done it yet. Now.... should I wait??

Wait not, want not.

You don't really understand what a knife can be until you have a BK-2. Buy it, and don't look back.

but what if I want the new model more?!?

oh geez, this is gonna get ugly.
I started looking at knives again because a complete working set seemed so easily within reach... This is going to be a problem.

well, it is easy Daizee...

buy them all...

if you like the new stuff, wait... if you need it now, get it, use it, learn it, love it, or not, sell it... heh heh

you already know I'll never sell it...

do I NEED it? No, I want to need it. Sort of.

Bladite, you are a dangerous influence.
