I find it interesting that great minds follow similar paths. Some months ago I posted that I was dissatisfied with the handles on my Effingham Becker Campanion and was requesting ideas regarding the feasability of using Micarta instead. The answers I received indicated that it would be more trouble than worth. Since I have no experience in shaping Micarta myself I was left with the Campanion back in the safe, and unused for another season. I will watch your project with interest.

I am still trying to figure how to secure the micarta strongly, while leaving the holes for the Strider wrap, without adding holes or in any other way altering the handle.

Maybe I will secure the wrap under the edge of the micarta.
