Can anyone tell me if it's difficult to make handles for the Becker knives. I have bought micarta handles for my BK2, but I want to make something different for my BK7, BK11, and maybe even my Doug Ritter MK2 :D( which I hope to get in mail tomorrow, can't wait). I was thinking cocobolo, walnut,: wood handles or something different. Thanks..

American Black Walnut or Zebrawood would be my choice. I got some great stock for both just waiting for some time to get to it. Come to think of it there are lots of good choices out there. But I keep my eye on the zebrawood for my BK2. It just sits there and whispers, "BK2...BK2...BK2". It won't stop. Day and night, over and over again, "BK2...BK2".

Funny how that works. That's exactly what happened to me with the Ritter MK2 that just came out. I finally broke and ordered it. I love Becker knives. Great users, the BK2 is always with me, I had to google zebrawood, that will look great on any becker knife. Is it very time consuming to make handles? I never tried it but am going to. Thanks

There are sticky threads discussing this. I know that the people here pull off high quality work on their knives, it's a breath of fresh air looking at the ingenuity and innovation that people are yanking out their sphincters or have been honing for decades.
