I've read a couple times that the edge is harder than the spine and that the steel gets softer as it goes up the grind. I not too long ago broke my BK7's tip off and reground it back into a point , I removed alot of material , I was wondering if the tip area might be in the soft part of the steel. If so is it a problem? or will my knife be fine?

Your knife should be fine. AFAIK Beckers are not technically differentially hardened. They might be a little less hard near the lanyard hole, but otherwise, as long as you didn't overheat it on the re-grind, imo your 7 will be fine.

It will be fine. The blades are pretty much the same hardness from the edge from the spine. They get softer from the choil area backto the hilt. Like granite says, as long as you don't go crazy overheating it with the grind, it will be o.k.
