Can someone tell me if the handle part of the blade is hardened on the BK 11 and BK2.??
 
It's just a guess, but I'm betting it is. It'd be faster to HT the whole blade than to differentially HT it.
 
None of the handle sections are heat treated on the Camillus made (0170-6C) blades.
