I heard that this came back out recently, but I haven't heard much about it. Does anyone have one? What do you think of it? Did Ka-Bar do better/worse/the same as Becker/Camillus? Any info is appreciated!

I have one and like it quite a lot. I have never used the original, so can't compare, but the steel holds a pretty decent edge and the knife is a good EDC type of blade. I like to keep mine lashed to the shoulder strap of my pack when I'm hiking, handle down - the included kydex sheath is nice and secure and it keeps the blade close at hand for quick chores.

It's pretty much my current favorite small knife

Do you have a picture of it next to a "common" knife like a Griptilian or a Buck 110 for reference? Thanks for the info!

i dont have any pics, and i cant compare it to the old one either, but i can definitely say its a great knife, especially since it only costs like $35. it feels real good with the paracord wrapping on the handle. one of the best deals in the knife world right now if you ask me.

Here ya go. I LOVE the BK11. It is such a great value, its a real workin knife. Sheath has multiple carry options too. I recommend getting the Ka Bar TDI clip to put on it if you get one. I mean when you get one ;)

Go to the Becker forum here and you will find lots of info on the BK11, it was also made in a much more high tech steel (maybe S30v or there abouts) and costs more. But everyone seems to agree it is a cool useful knife , and Kabars steel is good.

the high tech steel is carbon/san mai. I dont have a lot of experience with it, but it's supposed to be tough. I like the 1095 myself.
