I'm with Powernoodle on this, too. Sure, RAT's are good knives, but so are Beckers. As far as the RC-5 being a better knife than the BK-2: bull (IMHO). In all honesty, there's not all that much difference between the two. They're both tough as nails heavy-duty knives. Neither one is going to break on you when you need it most. The differences are that the RAT has a different handle and, arguably, a better sheath. It also costs almost twice as much as the BK-2. Lifetime warrantee? Yes, and it looks much better on paper than the Ka-Bar warrantee. In actual practice, however, the Becker works almost the same. I have never seen Ethan and Paul fail to make good on a Becker that had a problem, even on one that one jerk kept sending back for "cosmetic" reasons. He/she/it (never really determined) was never pleased with anything, no matter what Ethan did, and couldn't understand why the fit and finish on a Becker wouldn't (for her/him/it) match the fit and finish on an $800 custom. The Becker is a tough user knife meant to be, well, used. Take it out and beat the heck out of it, and it'll beg for more. If you're after "pretty," get something "artsy" and lock it in your safe. Becker's work for a living.
