Hello,

Yesterday I got a new BK7, its a very well made knife!
Finish and handling are very good to me and it performed very well.

Here are some pictures, hope you like them

Please notice, the first one was taken after the cuting and chopping.

Nice pictures Olli. I had a BK7 for a year so untill it was stolen from my car. Great knife and excellent value for money. Who's fence are you chopping up?

Hi,

That is one piece of wood from our "garden-house" it was not needed anymore, so I could use that one ;)
The real fence arround that "garden-house" is still ok ;)

Hey YTiger,
Did you 'chop' into that wood or was it 'batoned'? What condition was the coating in after all that work (it isn't really clear from the pics)?

I just loves my Beckers...

Hi,

@barber oregon,

I chopped into the wood like you do with an axe.
Is there another word for "batoned", my translator don't know that word , sorry.
The coating got some very light scratches but remained fully on the blade.

I love this knife, too. It will be my new EDC for every task "outdoor", currently I'm planing a big trip to Finland.

Greetings
Olli

bk7's are great, I really like mine.

"Batoning" is using a baton (meaning a large piece of wood such as a stick or club) to pound on your knife and drive it through the wood.

Hi,

@anomad, thanks for explaining that to me!

So, I did not do any batoning, because that was not needed, but the knife schould do that just fine.

Greetings
Olli
