I have a couple of Becker knife and tool company knives, aBk7 and a neck knife.I've had them for years and have tortured the hell out of them with never a problem.A friend wants to get one but i cant find them anywhere, did they go out of bussiness or something, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Camillus made the Becker line. They went out of business. Ethan Becker, the designer, is now working with Ka-Bar to have them produced again.

"Better than ever" will depend on the steel and heat treat, but I'm hopeful.

Until then, fleaBay is your only option right now.

Check out Doug Ritter's video interview with Ethan Becker regarding his upcoming knives (top video listed):

By the way, for those of you who didn't know, Ethan Becker is also a co-author - along with his wife and others - of "Joy of Cooking", which has got to be without a doubt the most popular cook book ever published. I think that's pretty cool!!

When I read your post saying Ethan Becker was a co-author of The Joy Of Cooking my first reaction was that it was an April Fools joke. :D Then I checked out the JOC website, and by golly, you weren't kidding. He really is the co-author and not only that but he actually studied at the Cordon Bleu in Paris. Mr. Becker truly is a man of many talents - thanks for the very cool info!
