Hello,

Years ago I saw a largish outdoors knife that had a sort of anvil area on the back of the blade, near the tip of the knife. I would recall it was branded as Becker but not sure.

Just interested. It looked like an useful and sturdy tool. The weight of that anvil area gave away a nice potent momentum when cutting branches. My late buddy used it back then, and since then the knife has vanished somewhere.

Any idea about such a knife, anyone?

Cheers!

Sir, it looks like I indeed am. I just checked out the Google Image Search due to Your suggestion.

Thank You, Sir!

Would it be complicated to get one?

Glad to help. Complicated - no. I imagine you can find them for sale here and there (maybe not super cheap). Also, it seems to me there were rumors of Kabar / Becker re-releasing these but I'm not sure where that stands.

You can find one for about $175, very cool knives... I've played with one. And no, KA-BAR will not be re-releasing them.

If you don't want to pay the big bucks for a BK1, a BK9 will chop better, and weigh much less, and be cheaper.

Good Luck to you!
