While looking through a box of papers i found some receipts for some of my becker knives and was really surprised at what i had paid for them. All knives were purchased NIB bk-7 costs me a whopping $38.71, bk-9 $49.99, bk-10 $59.99, bk-11 a whopping $26.99! and the campanion was $59.99. These were the only receipts that i found but it got me thinking of the extremely high prices folks were selling them for after camillus went under and it also got me to thinking about the great quality of these knives and the fantastic edge retention the steel is capable of and how cheap asian imported junk sells for the prices these superb American made blades sold for. Perhaps after research and development is taken care of (paid) the Ka-bar blades will be had for prices this low.

I think they're great knives for the original asking price before Camillus folded, but I wouldn't pay the high prices some are asking for them now. Besides if one breaks you're stuck with a broken knife. I think I paid $40. for my Crewman and it's a good knife at that price. Just because the company folded doesn't make them any better, or worth more to me. Opinions vary...

I remember when the Becker's first came out, I thought they were ugly abaminations. I have a BK-11, and wish that I had gotten some of the largers Beckers back when. Hopefully KBAR will maintain the value pricing and good quality.

A BK-1 just sold on Ebay for $300.00. Does anyone know when K-Bar will begin making Beckers? I've also heard the BK-1 will not be reintroduced.
