Becker Kydex sheath for RSK Mk-2

Hi Guys,

I was gifted a Mint Condition RSK Mk-2 .. and it is going to be "A User"
So far I am liking it a lot .. Except for the crappy stock sheath it came with.

As the handle/scales are the same as most other "Becker" Handles, I assume one of the stock Kydex Sheaths would work fine for the RSK ('tho I don't know which one would fit best?)

Hence my question.
If I am begging a Becker Sheath (from someone who has upgraded or gone a different direction in Carry Option), Which model would I be asking for?

Thanks

Joe

The Becker line doesn't come with kydex sheaths - perhaps you are thinking of another knife. Even if the line did come with kydex, the blade of the RSK Mk-2 is different enough that it wouldn't fit well in one made for another model. If you want kydex for a Becker, you make it or buy it from somebody that does.

Edited to add: The neckers (BK 11, 13, 14, 24) have sheaths that are Kydex or similar....and the BK 2 & 3 have hard plastic sheaths. I've never seen anybody comment on the 3; but I don't generally see much love for the 2's sheath (at least not until after they're well modified.
I have the RSK Mk-2 - the sheath is quite similar to the bulk of the Becker line. Keep in mind that these are essentially free sheaths considering the value of the knives for the prices paid.

I assume I misquoted myself ... I am thinking of the type of sheath that a BK2 'snap-fits' into .. (kydex? .. black plastic? .. whatever??) .. I just assumed that since the handles are the same, that the larger one would have a similar type of sheath, and that one would fit the RSK ?????

..... Or Maybe I am fantasizing something that doesn't exist ??

There are Kydex makers on the forums who do Custom work, but the RSK doesnt come with any standard Kydex of plastic Option.
Check out 710 Customs, Azwelk, Godspeed, Kiah, for Kydex

You are - the sheath on your knife is the same style as the BK 4,5, 7, 9, 10, tweeners, and 22 (the 22 is the same knife as the 2, but with the other style sheath).

I'll also add Dexwithers to the list of people to contact re: a kydex sheath for your RSK.

Here's Azwelke's work on my BK10. First rate all the way.

AFAIK, and I have a 12, the sheath it comes with is actually a little nicer in some respects than the stock fabric/insert sheaths that come with standard size Beckers (other than the 2). The insert is actually kydex or similar that eliminates the rattling that happens with most Becker stock inserts. My 4, 5, 7, 9, 15 & 16 sheaths all rattle because the inserts all have too much room. Still, I think the sheaths are OK for general use. All the suggestions here for Kydex benders are worth checking out (I have a bomber azwelke piggyback setup for my 9/16); or you can give making your own a try - although, I am curious what it is you find "crappy" about the sheath it came with. Not for argument's sake, just curiosity. I am working my way up to Kydex for the 12 by making some smaller sheaths first, but in the mean time, I think the stock sheath suffices.
