I've heard this was coming out in May. Any word on this? KaBars webiste doesn't have it listed at all.

Its going to be a doozie. They tweaked it just right to get a little more out of it.

There is a picture in the META FAQ Sticky Thread of all things Becker, and I think a link to a Blade Show photo. I am wondering when this will hit the net...I have been holding off on ordering a KaBar-Becker tee until the magnum camp comes out, so I can save on shipping!

No news yet huh? I was hoping for this before Blade...

Well, they said May. That gives them four more days. Even if it doesn't make it in May, I would certainly think it would be released at Blade, which begins a week from Friday (June 4th).

Will it actually be released in May? May-be, May-be not. We'll see.

I dont mind waiting personally the magnum camp is my favourite of all the Beckers. I just hope they do it right. I have the original stainless Blackjack version with its leather sheath and its just a great knife. the Camillus version was OK but I liked the stainless better. We will see what Ka Bar can do. I would like to see more better steel options with all these knives (to hell with the expence) but thats me and its probably not cost effective the better steel versions of BK11 and BK7 dont seem to be that popular because of the costs.

the BK11 san-mai isn't so much a better steel, but an attractive variant aimed at ... various types of people. it's not even strictly stainless either iirc, so it's not like the BK-77 - great fish knife :)

it would be nifty to see sprint runs in some exotic materials if they get the chance, and possibly it's collectors that care, or certain kinds of users.

and unfortunatley, the Magnum Camp is not quite with us yet. we'll see what Summer brings, eh?

and the Machax. Geez, i might have to wait until Blade 2011? Oiy. Maybe SHOT SHOW 2011.

IMO the Magnum Camp is one of the greatest production knives ever made, in any incarnation. I've had mine a bit over 10 years and it's been an awesome knife.
