Any idea where I could locate any factory micarta scales ? I have picked up a few more Beckers and would like replace the original scales. I've tried the factory, sold out. They could be dirty, scratched, stained, etc., because there going on my users.

Thanks.............sd550

You might email Tom (Chestnut Ridge), or just wait, he will be along and will reply. Toms the man for stuff like this..... tho Guyon may have cleaned him out.

Jeez. I only bought a few sets...

Hello,

Sorry, I'm out with no known ship date. If you send me your email address I will help you out when/if they get here.

hey Guyon, you wouldn't happen to have another one of those kitchen knife looking ones (I think it's the BK_5) laying around that you would want to sell would you? I have one each of all the others, and some extras of a couple, but I don't have one of those.

Hmmm... one of these? :D

They sure look better. Do they feel better too?

cybrok, I do like the fuller feel of the micarta. More durable long term of course, and it also has more texture and grips better than the polymer/plastic/black scales. Still, for an even better grip, I put a little piece of bike inner-tube on some knives. Check out the BK-7 and the BK-9, for example.

hay guyon is the first companion on the left hollow ground if it is i have one to when were these made. or was it an earlyer model thanks for any answer

Nope, just a stripped version of the same flat-ground knife next to it.

I actually sanded a little on it last night. The satin finish is finally under way!

Give me about two more months. :D

Hi, I'm new here.

I have been looking for these Beckers. Where are you folks finding them?

Welcome, Xer. Your best bet these days is eBay, unless Camillus starts manufacturing Beckers again soon.

Tom at CRKS has the BK-2 and the BK-77 I believe. Maybe the BK-7?

I bought almost all of mine during the strike as supplies were starting to dwindle.

yah, ePray is the way to go... expect to pay ... the luck of the draw :)

i need to update my family photos soon - added quite a few pieces since the last, good season to get some nice sunlight on them polished blades, but this should do for now:

a few more old Machaxen, Campanions, and a Fisk; rounded out a few more users. have to leapfrog Guyon :) [never happen ;>] such an amusing hobby this.

re:the stainless Blackjack camp knife, they are pretty non-functional at the edge angle they are ground to. I have seen some chip out due to poor heat treat within a few chops. They are 440-C.

Hmm... you sure about the 440-C? According to Mike Stewart, all the Blackjack Beckers were 1095. See this post.

Don't let him fool you. I'll never keep up with Bladite on the old Beckers.

Now if I sold all my Busses and Swamp Rats... hmmmm...
