I was wondering if someone could contact david beck(I don't know his email adress) and see if he would be interested in making a mini wsk (like tops mini tracker) it could be good buisness for him from what I have read alot of people want the mini tracker but david beck has better craftmanship
thanks for any help or replies

Dave has retired from WSK business. If you would like send me an email and I will forward your contact information to him just as well. Tim Horan, Mark Terrell and Jurgen Schanz make great custom versions.
We have experimented with a small Predator WSK and they just don't work that well and we abandoned the idea.

I made a 10.5 inch WSK and it is really nice. I sharped it more like a hunting knife and less like a axe. I did a antiqued acid etched finish. I was scepticale at first but after completing it, i was very happy with it.

I love the Handle on that knife, It looks like it would just melt into the hand.

How did this grind hold up as a chopper as i have seen problems with some of the thinner grind WSK designs ?

PS Is this Knife for sale or are you just a Big Ole tease ?:D

Its sold and its not chisel ground, its flat ground and hollow ground. Its not thinner. It is still a 1/4 with a tapered tang. I just sharpened the chopping section at about 19 degrees. Which is the angle i usually do for the draw knife portion. I dont think the customer plans on chopping much. I was told he is planning on using it for field dressing and such. A sharper chopping edge is less effective for two reasons: first it is more likly to chip and break, second you will get your axe or knife lodged to deep in what you're chopping and will have trouble getting it out.

wow... great looking knife and sheath....

Yep, another fantastic piece by moosemaster! Looks great! Although, I think the JEB Evo type that you made is still my current favorite! Perhaps one of these days I'll get the nerve to email you about the details. :)
