I think Bladite posted a list of all the different models at one time, but I don't know that the specs were included. Maybe he'll weigh in on this, as he seems to know more about Beckers than anyone else — certainly more than me.

There is no difference between the Campanion and the Companion: they're the same knife. The real name is Campanion (CAMPanion), but a lot of people misspell it.

lol now i need a bk2 (is that the same as the campanion? i thought the bk2 had a thumb rest?) and a necker.. lol anyone know where to get one or has one to sell? lol

Bingo! The BK-2 — the worlds best (IMHO) all-around camp/survival knife — is the Campanion. No, the BK-2 doesn't have a thumb rest (although the BK-7 does). While there are a number of places to buy one, you might try http://www.tomarskabars.com/Becker_Knives.html. They have very good prices and are good people to deal with.

yah, the starting thread of models/posts i wrote was within the top 20ish for this group. i'd recommend that some of these information packed posts get stickied, it's so hard to read a topic page or five looking for subjects that match ;) okay okay, cranky sarcasm ;>

back when we had 5 pages of signal to noise, it was easier, but we've got 5 pages of "which Becker should i buy" now ;) complicated. then again, when i'm into a new forum, i read every last page. even if there are hundreds of them. perhaps that's just me.

so. start here:

also, CAMPanion. yes. 20 praise Ethans!

Cranky, cranky, cranky. I know what you mean about the "Which Becker should I buy" threads though, LOL. Still, they don't know, so someone has to answer, and you're so good at it ;).

All hail Ethan ... whom we haven't seen for awhile. Wonder what he's got, uh, cooking?

PS: I read 'em all, too, when I'm new to somewhere, so it's not just you.
