The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.
It ain't a contest. It's about doing what you can do to get mobile.

Between the dates of May 1 and May 31, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
4 miles (6.4 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 6 Becker Points

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 200 miles, or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 8.3 miles. But you can combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.

The reward? You'll feel better, and you'll be participating with a group of supportive peers.

I hope you don't mind I started this months thread Guyon, the points are burning a hole in my pocket.

Yesterday had 2.1 miles walking and 5.1 miles biking, also .2 miles of steps this morning = 3.5 ttd

Thanks for starting this one off, Lee. 2400m in the pool tonight, first time I've swum a 1600 straight in a while (usually broken into sets).
9 BP.

2.2 mile walking and 10 mile biking - 4.7 for the morning, hoping to take a hike today too, hopefully will have more to add later.

8.2 ttd

Thanks for taking the initiative. It's been a busy week.

Wanted to start in January. Managed to do it in May.
16 metric Becker Points on foot:D - 10 BP

...8 BP for May

I had a 10+mile trail run on Sunday. It was brutal. These trails had lots of steep up and down hill sections. It was slow going. On top of the brutalness (is that a word?) of the trail, I had a few wrong turns. I also forgot to restart my garmin after a stop and missed an about an additional .5 to 1 mile.

8+10=18BP for May

Went for a hike today up Mt. Major (funny name, it's not that big). 4.5 miles. 3 hours. Way easier to get those points in the pool! But at least I got to play with my Machax a little, which is definitely NOT possible in the pool.
9+4.5=13.5

Just downloaded my pedometer and I had an additional 4.3 mile walk on Saturday, about 2 1/2 of that was with my 55 lb son riding on my shoulders. Walking around with him on my shoulders really put the weight I have dropped so far into perspective.
had .2 of steps boxes this morning. 4.5 + 8.2 = 12.7 ttd
