It ain't a contest. It's about doing what you can do to get mobile.

Between the dates of November 1 and November 30, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
4 miles (6.4 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 6 Becker Points

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 200 miles, or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 8.3 miles. But you can combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.

The reward? You'll feel better, and you'll be participating with a group of supportive peers.
It's late, but with Thanksgiving around the corner we need this more than ever.

I feel your pain about being out of shape, Granite! I started a new job in August, am working split shifts, and my exercising has gone to pot for the last three months.

By the way, thank you for encouraging me at the end of the October MYB thread. My bike's out of commission, my shoulder's on the fritz so I can't swim, and I can get to focusing on what I can't do instead of what I can. Instead, I like your approach - you can't run, but you CAN bike and swim, so you do

You're welcome. Trust me, my fitness isn't the only thing that's gone to pot. I try, but fail quite frequently, to look on the bright side. Reminding others also reminds me. Sometimes it even works.

I still working out, got 13 miles on the bike yesterday... but my employer has changed our Internet rules and we can't access the Internet for personal use anymore and posting from my phone is just awkward... good luck all, I am trying to drop 15 lbs before Jan 1..

True that! Encouragement creates ripples that the initiator at least feels.

With dedication, you can do it, Lee!
