Good Day,

I don't post over this way much, though I do lurk from time to time, I hang out over at WSS most of the time...

But, I thought you guys might like to see these...

And since it is a Necker, after all....

Let me know what you think!

those are sweet!
I was just admiring my Camillus bk11 sheath, and much prefer it to the newer ones. Yours are like the nice earlier stuff and then some!

those aren't bad at all :)

esp in blaze orange, nobody is going to say "concealed weapon". mmm, actually, i was pondering making one of my neckers "dayglo", so if dropped, it's not lost - dayglo paracord too.

Thanks guys!
I am glad you like 'em...
Any criticisms/feedback?
Best,
Marion

if they don't already, make them piggy back to existing sheaths? perhaps with little rivets or bolts (sold separately?), be awesome to have a necker melded to a larger knife sheath as a system, and/or quick release to become a around the neck again. mmm.

and a BK-13 Remora sheath would probably be well received... as far as i know, KaBar doesn't offer such, and the new model is going to sell well :)

I can do all of the above. Now I just need to wait until the BK 13 comes out...

I do plan on adding the Beckers to the stable, one at a time... Which one, not counting the 13, should I add first, do you think?

if you buy the right model, some of them still might be coming with the BK-13; dunno if they'll vary from the 2nd gens models :)

which one? well. all of them :) probably the BK-09 is a good first choice, plus if you ask the vendor in advance, you might get one with a BK-13...

the san mai BK-11is veddy nice too :> my first choice for carrying around my neck, due to the unusual nature :)

and soon, well, there's going to be a LOT of choices. i'm already drooling over the new Magnum Camp, and man, WHERE IS THE MACHAX PROTOTYPE guys? come ON already... been waiting YEARS here ...

Yeah, I would like to maybe get one, so that I have it for my customers, but for myself, I want the new one, much nicer looking...

And then there is, as you say, always the variance issue. Best to have both.

The free one was packaged with the BK7 and BK9 right?

Any place else you can imagine I could source the Chinese BK13?

Yeah, I like the look of that one, definitely a looker.

I had a Camillus Machax, and a Camillus Magnum Camp. I am really interested to see if the Khukuri comes back, since Becker no longer has to contend with a company that is making the Cold Steel ones...

Those are sweet!! I wouldnt mind replacing my Necker's stock sheath with these. Does it use the same type of retention as the stock sheath does? I'm a believer in the stock sheath's little rubber (or whatever its made out of)s retention piece dulling the blade.

Also, will the TDI clip fit on these?
What price are we looking at?

These will not dull the blade, as the edge floats in the sheath.

The stock clip will not fit (unless by some freak of coincidence) but I can make one that does fit it, if that is what a person wants...

And for the last, email sent...

Is it possible to do the sheath with the drain hole on the bottom (or top if wearing it neck style) of the sheath? Not that it really matters much, but in my experience it seems to work out best in all the way at the bottom. Does the placement of the hole allow for some water to be retained at the point of the blade? Other than that these look top notch!

Marion,

Ethan has made it known that the Brute was not a best seller back in the day and has no plans to re introduce it from KABAR. The BK9 is a better chopper according to him anyways

I can place the hole at the very tip of the sheath of the knife, if that is important to you, no problem. Honestly, I think that no drain hole is going to keep 'moisture' from being retained, about the best you can hope for is getting the majority of it out.

Wow! I'm very interested. Could you PM me the your pricing info? Thanks in advance.

On it's way.

Back at ya!

That is kinda sad. Oh well.
