What kind of cord do I get/where do i get it?

Also, how snugly does the knife stay in the sheath?

I can't say how the knife fits in the sheath as I don't have one yet, but I can answer your cord wrap question.

Most people use 550 "Paracord" to do their handle wrapping. Any Army/Navy will carry it. It can also be purchased from Brigade Quartermasters at www.actiongear.com or from U.S. Cavalry www.cavpro.com
