My poor Becker necker :( her coating is starting to wear off and dull due to hard use at work. Hell yeah she's taken every bit, and performed without a doubt. My boss borrowed it and I never thought I'd get it back. I carry the becker, and the Bk10 in my bag. One would think its all I ever need, but since I like the becker so much, and work sucks..would like to keep her as a "everywhere but work knife." Besides far too many people like....would like to keep around my neck, not theirs. :D

Anyway, my question is how does the Ryan Plan B compare in size with the becker necker? Looking to pick one up for my work knife.

Another question about Tek Lock for the necker. Is that an actually clip, or is it some clamp that fits around your belt?

Angelus, here's a link to the Blade-Tech site -- http://shop.blade-tech.com/merchant.ihtml?id=2&step=2 -- the Tek-Lok is at the bottom of the page, with a small picture. It is screwed onto a sheath and then can be clamped onto a pocket or a belt or a pack strap. It can be placed for horizontal or vertical carry.

I'm a big fan of the Becker line and really wanted to get a necker from them, but I'm worried about that cut-out at the butt, the bottle opener. Does that dig into your hand?

You should be able to resharpen any Becker pretty easily. If you like the necker so much, why not get a new one for your own private carry, and resharpen the old one for on-the-job? I doubt you will find the Plan B measures up to the Becker.

Naw, I haven't had any trouble with it it digging into you hand. Its well rounded on that. With the right wrap, it feels good. Though you might find the handle a little short. The blade itself is usual becker toughness..probably with a tek lock the shealth would be perfect. As it is now, its nice and secure. Definatly worth a buy.

In case it isn't clear from the pictures, TekLoks are not clips. They go all the way around a belt or strap and lock in place.

If you want a clip you can always have one of our Kydex sheathmakers build you a clip that fits the same hole pattern as a TekLok. Several of them produce G-clips of that sort fairly regularly.
