Becker necker sheath

Hey guys. I have a Becker necker that I really like but the sheath seems to dull the blade. I hear that this is a pretty common problem with this knife. Is there a DIY fix for this problem or do I need to get a kydex sheath?
 
Yeah man, that's a common problem. Just pull the knife in and out like 50ish times (or whatever you think is good.) that will cut a groove in the plastic and when you sharpen it up it will stay that way.

Also if your sheath rattles you can cut an ear plug in half and stick it down there and there will be no more rattle.

having the same problem, was going to buy a kydex sheath but if there are alternatives....
 
Cool. I will give it a try as soon as I get home. My sheath does rattle. It is kind of annoying.
