Just got my BK2 yesterday, what a great knife! I can't wait to go hiking/camping to put it into use. However, I'm looking to swap out the sheath for a Spec Ops Survival Sheath. And then maybe the micarta handles. ;)

You might have a hard time finding that SO Survival Sheath. Good luck. Congrats on the great purchase! And welcome to the forum. Hope you stay for a long time.

I'm not sure of the forum rules on posting links, however there is a site that sells them. Not sure if they are from the same maker etc.

Welcome to the Becker forum and Bladeforums, glad you chose us as your first post. You would probably be better off with the Combat Master, I think it has more room than the Survival, but thats just me. The SO's are some good, light, well made sheaths that will compliment your BK2 quite well, and look good doing it.

Once again, welcome, and stick around.

Welcome.
Unless you have located a source for the Survival, your best bet is the Combat Master. The Survival has not been made by Spec Ops in some time.
I have both and like them both. The Survival will handle a small tin, whereas the Combat Master has a longer pouch better suited for a multi-tool.
On the left is the Ritter Perseverance in a Combat Master, and on the right is a BK2 in a Survival.

I wouldn't mind an email indicating where you found the Survival sheaths.
My suspicion, however, is that someone simply hasn't updated their website.
I do like the fact that my gear is waterproof in the tin/Survival set-up.

Incoming.

my great photog skills:)

the insert is very arched, Im sure I could boil in some water and place the knife in and straighten out

I recently picked up 4 combat masters and noticed 1 of each size had overly rounded inserts. I had to boil em and press em down a bit. The survival looks nice too but I like the pocket on the combat masters because I'm afraid I won't latch shit properly and lose it.

is the knife insert supposed to be this rounded?

That's factory. Spec Ops used to bow them more for retention.
They also used to let the liner ride high above the nylon, but they brought them down because of IR reflectivity.
Honestly, that's what they told me over the phone.

not tat i need more sheaths, but b2/10/12 sizedvspecops would be useful to locate

Their supposed to be bent. don't straighten them out, unless you want your blade to fall out.

was thinking if i got the plastic super hot it would form to the blade, no?

It will form some, not like kydex though. still keep it bent if you can. If your putting a knife with a thumbramp in it, you'll have to mold it to the ramp anyway. Heat gun is fast, hair dryer is slow.
