Becker problems - Haven't even got the knife yet...

I just ran into my first Becker problems:

Number 1 : I read about Becker knives on the internet.
Number 2 : Liked what I read.
Number 3 : Decided that I must have one. (To start with) (Wife less than enthusiastic about this idea...)
Number 4 : Which one? Bk2 / 7 or 9. Took me about a week, but finally decided on the BK2.
Number 5 : Nobody in this damn country seems to have any!!! :mad:

Well, hopefully the internet can solve this problem for me - I have placed an order, and I am waiting to hear from them on Monday to confirm the order.....
 
Just got a fresh BK2 and BK16 from Tomars. Arrived here in Salt lake 3 days after I ordered
 
I somewhat have that problem too since whilst there's Becker knives here they're pretty much off the menu with their current asking prices so I always have to turn to international internet vendors. Tomars Ka-Bars have really good prices and ship internationally but their shipping is pretty pricy and not particularly fast (I know once its out of their hands they can't control the time but for what I pay it'd be nice if it were faster). The bladeforums exchange is a good place to hunt around if you can be patient and wait for a good deal to pass by. Welcome to the forums by the way :).
 
I hate paying shipping charges, most vendors roll the shipping charges into the price if they offer "free" shipping. Tomars is where I have been going lately. They get the order out very fast and send priority mail, so I can count on 3 days till I get the package. They are also a paying member on BF.
BK2 and BK22 in stock as of this moment.
BTW the BK2 is a great first choice. IT IS however a GATEWAY Becker, it has a way of separating you from your cash in favor of other Beckers!
 
I'd go for the 22 if you are going to drop the cash at Tomars. Cshol is dead on, the 2 will only lead you to more. I know I pulled the trigger on a 14 and 16, and I'm really jonesing for a 9, 11, 15 and a 24.

I had to go aftermarket to get the sheath I really wanted for the 2. The plastic one for the 2, is not classy.

Where are you from? Just guessing here it isn't the US. Check with Tomars, or Grand Prairie, or Dale over at the Knife Connection. They have all done right by me.
