Tomar's website says the Ramora is 1095 CroVan. Is this true or just a mis-print. What is the actual steel in use today?
Thanks.

True. Recently changed. May be some old 440s out there, I ordered one a few weeks ago and it's 1095. Good stuff man!

Truth,

The old ones were 440a, the new BK13cp's are 1095cv.

Get some!

This is one of the new 1095's

Has the price changed? I can't find the 1095 ones on any retailer's website. Seems they all have the 440A model that they are trying to liquidate.

What do you use this knife for? I can't get a grip on it for it to be of any SAFE use.

I have never used one, but I worry about this as well. It seems too small for much of anything, but I've always been a little interested anyway.

When I held and worked on one, I found the most comfort while holding it in a "pinch" grip.
Middle finger in the choil, pointer and thumb on opposing sides of the blade, or pointer on the spine (choking up).

I found that a knife this size will work out well for a small utility with nothing too labor intensive or physically demanding (think cleaning trout, cutting line & bait, cutting trap and bank lines)

It is on my want to buyblist, especially now that it is in 1095cv. I will just throw some micarta or horse stall mat scales on it and make a simple kydex rig for it.

Nice choice in pocket/belt slip bud, it matches the knife nicely.

I am going to be grabbing one sooner rather than later with that sheath to boot, possibly some wet forming too.

You can have mine! ;) it's old though, not 1095. About 6 years old.

New, old, user, bnib, anything is cool with me. It is going to be modded regardless.

I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.
PM sent with offer for you.

Thanks Ron
