Well just got my RBK in the mail and it is beautiful! Can't wait to unleash this beast upon the woods. Much lighter then I thought it would be. When the new one comes out how different is it going to be? the one in the video looks smaller, thicker, and does not have a choil. I can't read the spec from the blueprint photo too blurry. Any of you beckerheads held both?

I think that's one of the older versions? I think there would have been more buzz about the RBK getting re-released...

I own the 1990's version, and the one in the video is not it. It did not have the Becker handle and it has a choil.

The new one is thicker, and slightly......little more than slightly heavier.

The New RBK that will be released, has passed the OK of the Reinhardt Legacy custodians........it's mustard.

The original was lighter due to the stock available at the time and Mr. Reinghardt's input. Hank was a fencer.....speed is in the wrist and lemme tell ya, the old one's were lively.

The new one's are too.......just more bone crunching impact......

Nice score man, congrats! Hopefully soon you'll be able to compare them yourself!

I have one just like yours. Be careful! That thing will sail through brush/vines and small trees like a laser. Easy to go right through the object and cut your leg. I used mine to clean up some debris from a hurricane a couple years ago. I screwed up with a light cut and nearly chopped off a finger. I had a bloody trip to the ER for stitches...The thinner blade and geometry of the design cuts/chops through materials the easiest of any blade I have had and I have had many.

I'm unsure what steel this one is. It's my "use only in case zombies are driving cars" go to.

Could be A2......could be 52100.......could be mithril.....
