I got the BK7 several months ago. It's awesome. But, I should've gotten the 2. The thing is, I can't really tell you why. The 7 is a great knife. But there's just something about the 2, you know? Of course you know!

I'll be getting a BK11 from a trade soon, though. That's something, right? Someday I'll get the cash together to buy a 2. Someday. <wistful sigh...>

my first bk was a 7, great all around size.. I used to love the 2 for some time but something about it I just couldn't carry it around anymore... dunno why... I've sold the 7 and 2..

7 is a slice of Heaven... I agree with the above posts
 
I think that perhaps it's because the 2 was the first knife that really got me into knives to begin with. But, being really tight with my money, I wanted to be as practical as I could be and the 7 seemed like the most all-around useful blade. But as great as it is, it just didn't scratch the itch, if that makes sense.

in time the itch will be scratched but the 7 reaches it better :)...

later down the road you will find what fills the niche... for me its the 9 and 10

I agree with the OP and I did the same thing, bought the 7, like it, but rather have the 2.

The 7 is great. It's versatile and fills a need in my collection. But the 2 has more character.

The 7 is a thoughtfully designed knife. The 2 has some absurdness I need to possess.
 
I have the 7 I do NOT have the 2. I should remedy that one of these days, just I have no need for it. I actually prefer the length on the 7. I will probably end up with the 12 first.

Yup. I like the 2 more than the 7.
 
Just sell whatever bodily fluids you can as often as you can until you can buy a BK2. And then repeat for a 9, gotta have the 9
