I realize that I've posted a few times in this forum, but have never posted a shot of my Beckers. I sort of feel that I needed to post a shot to establish my bona fides.

The Five is the most recent to make it's way here to the rescue shelter for wayward blades. Stepped with forced patina and a few weeks in the kitchen. I think it will prove to be a favorite; I'm contemplating thinning the edge a touch.

The other two are stripped and cold blued. At some point I'd like to figure out how to hot blue these guys, I think they look great blued.

Cheers.

I like the look of the scales on the BK2

Thanks. I made those from a piece of well seasoned maple I had in the garage. Might have turned out a bit better with a lighter stain, but I just used what I had on hand. Sealed with linseed oil and spar varnish. Very comfortable, and a perfect fit!

Nice mods. I like the cold blueing effect on the 2 and 7. Was thinking about doing my 17 in a similar fashion.

Damn. I love that 2. And the 7. Have you tried the look of the 2's scales on the 7? I think it might take the natural sexiness of the 7 and multiply it by 7. :D

you clearly need ... more :)

good start thought!

Very cool. I thought about the blue finish too. I also seen a vineger dip that turns them black. I might have to try that one too.
