Becker Tac Tool helped me out today!

Today was a great day until my ride home. The Audi in front of me had to stomp on the brakes to avoid the A$$hole that pulled out in front of him off the median. I had to do the same and came to a complete stop, then as I looked behind me a Taxi driver ran into me. I have owned my 2004 4 Runner, which was a CLEAN garage kept one owner truck, 8 days. I will be sore tomorrow, but otherwise okay. Toyota knows how to build 'em strong. I pulled my truck off the cab that was wedged under the rear right side only to have the lower half of the rear quarter panel wedged against my tire. After a few good tugs the panel was not coming off. So I go grab my BK3 from my drivers side door, walked to the back of the truck unsheathed as the the three patrol officers looked at me with some concern. I reassured them it was for my truck, smiled and got the job done. Prying it then a couple slices around bolts and I was on my way! The cabby was arrested for no Drivers License and no insurance. I know its been awhile since I have posted, but that's about to change.

Thats a damn shame. I would be floored about my truck. Glad you're ok and its always nice when a Becker comes thru in a clutch.

That sucks man! Glad your 3 could help you out though.

This is some uncanny sh/t. I was just looking at google images of the 3 a few hours prior to your post, and considering it my next BK. Sorry to hear of your misfortune but glad you had the 3 there to help you out.

Glad to know that your BK3 rose to the occasion when needed. Mine hasnt seen any heavy duty yet.

Did the same with my 3 a few months ago. Puled it out in front of the deputy to pry the fender off the wheel. No question with the deputy right there, though he was a little impressed it worked so well. Maybe a fellow Beckerhead?

If not then, then perhaps now.

Am I the only one who keeps a crowbar in the car for such instances so I wouldn't have to unsheathe a BK3 for the job?

That sucks that you were in an accident, glad you are ok.

But hey, at least you got to use your BK-3 in a real life situation! +10 cool points for that!

Might have to get one to leave in my Jeep for emergencies, and besides, it's the only Production Becker missing from my collection.

Sorry to hear about your truck. Glad you're going to be okay.

Cool that you had the tool for the job right there. Good work.

I do the same, but now I gotta worry about it looking like I have a "burglary tool" in my trunk! Oh well, it was an inexpensive addition to my modest vehicle prep kit.
I'd rather have a 3 tho :D

So very sorry about your 4 runner, they are tough rides. Not tougher than a becker though. Hope you are not too sore.

Update... Cabby did not have any insurance and no form of identification. Here I go again having to pay for some dip shits mistake of not paying attention. Call the cab company to ask about the insurance driver's must carry. They said they don't require any, really? they only put liability on the company owned cars not owner operator cars. To me that's bullshit if I owned a company that shuttle people around I would make damn sure they all carried insurance and if they could not show proof they wouldn't be driving around with my name on their vehicle. I guess this is why we all pay so much for Auto Insurance.

Dude that sucks balls! I don't understand how a company can get away with that. Why wouldn't they make sure that their employees have the proper documents and that they keep them up to date???

On the pluse side you had your trusty BK3 with you. That is one on the many reasons mine stays in my car.
