Becker TacTool Question

Okay, I’ve got a question that will probably make my ignorance evident to everyone…what is the intended purpose of the angled cutout on the back of the BK&T TacTool? From the pictures that I’ve seen it appears to have a sharpened edge at the base of the cutout, so I’m assuming that it’s meant to cut line or other material (seat belts?). I haven’t seen it mentioned in any of the descriptions of this tool and I’ve been curious about it for some time (I couldn’t find any reference to the cutout when I used the forum search function).

By the way, I’m delighted that Camillus has brought back the Becker product line…I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on one (or more) of these blades in the not-to-distant future. Any new word on when the Magnum Camp will be available

? Thanks…

I believe that is correct Jim. Which leads me to think that although the Tac Tool is a bit on the large side and is made of O1 steel, it could make for a nice dive tool, no? What do you others think?

FYI
Camillus is trying to get the Magnum Camp ready for shipping by the end of June. If this doesn't happen then it looks like it will be the end of July. They close down for the first 2 weeks of July!
