So this was talked about before, but it was more of a sale specific sub-section in the for sale section.

This thread, however, I thought would be suited to be here with the Beckerheads. A trade specific thread. So that we may post up Becker related trades.

Lets keep all the deal making in the thread, and NO posting things for sale. ONLY TRADE.

Trade offers need to go in the appropriate subforum.

Chatting in this thread?

Posting things in this thread that we would like to trade for beckers? Meaning, I only have one Becker at this point, but what if I wanted to try to trade something else for a Becker. Is this the place for it?

Good questions!!

Lets keep the chatting to a minimum, but I would suspect that there would have to be some to work out deals.

I don't see a problem with posting items to trade for Beckers, but we'll have to see what the Mod's say about that.
 
I think this is great. Local surplus had this so I grabbed it for this reason. Trade for BK5??

Surprised its not locked yet but I love the idea. Who appreciates beckers more then beckerheads. ;)
 
if its becker specific maybe just maybe it may stick around... otherwise, super mod to the rescue... :)

I have stuff for the virtual blanket just nothing becker related :D

I know shame on me.

I don't know if this will fly with the upper admins.
I'm not going to lock it immediately, but to stay here, it's going to have to get approval from higher up the chain than me.
The rules about sales/trades are a bit stricter when it comes to "off topic" for a subforum.

To add, I doubt that folks will keep it to just Becker items.
Trading that '65 Ford chassis for a couple of Beckers plus a Maxpedition pack?
Well, that just seems pretty far afield of this subforum, even though Beckers might be involved.
 
Better lock it. This is the sort of thing that gets out of hand in a hurry. For example, if this thread were a equest, it should go in Tech Support. But no, we already have a couple of members deciding to activate the idea on their own. Not good.

It is an Exchange forum function. How do Supermods and Exchange mods monitor this? By checking all over the Becker forums every day, too?
 
Sorry guys, after conferring, I think this one's got to get shut down.
There is a trade specific subforum already, and as Esav points out, constantly monitoring this thread would turn into a headache for the mods.

ETA: My "conferring" was with the Moose man. I gave him a quick ring, and he and I both think this thread direction is just going to cause problems. BTW, post fever, he sounded like warmed over crap. :p

If you post up a trade offer (in the appropriate place) and want folks over here in Becker to see it, I don't have any problem with an occasional note in the Beckerhead Chat thread.
For example, "Hey guys, I just posted up a trade offer with one of my Becker sheaths. Check it out in the Trade subforum."
Two things: The trade ought to involve Becker related items. Please don't overdo it. The Chat thread shouldn't turn into a Trade thread.
