It's been a while since last posting here... I can't believe how many Beckerheads there are now! Awesome!
For anyone who knows me from back in the day, or from other forums, my name is Reno (aka Wood Splitter). I'm Beckerhead #150. Have been for nearly 6 years (WOW! Time flies!
).
I've been busy with school and Ground Search and Rescue, lots of courses, certifications etc. I've gained a lot of very valuable experience in the past couple years, and hopefully I can share some of it in the time to come.
I hope to be able to hang around here more regularly, it's a cool place with awesome folks!
Now, onto business...
I'm considering a purchase. Either a 7 or a 10, and a Spec Ops Combat Master sheath to compliment one or the other.
I own both already, but both are modded, and I'd like to keep a new one pretty much stock (perhaps strip the coating, add micarta, but that's it).
Which would you go for, and why? I'm leaning towards the 10 for it's easier to carry size, and because it's easier to carve with (feather sticks, bow drill set etc), while still having enough heft to chop down and limb saplings.
