Alrighty, this one's open to Beckerheads only.

This giveaway is pretty simple.

I'll run it for 24 hrs. from the time of the OP.

All you have to do is copy your first started thread in the BK&T subforum, and paste it here.

That will be your official entry. Please only one post per Beckerhead.

I'll use random.org to pick a winner tomarrow night.

And here's what you're playing for:

Here's an example of my first started thread in the BK&T subforum:

I'll be recieving a short Ka-bar and a BK11 in the mail today. Super excited! My next knife will definately be either the full size USMC or the Becker BK2. I was wondering if you guys could list some pros and cons for each knife. I'm new to BF but there sure seems to be alot of knowledge floating around here. I'd appreciate any help on this.

lol. I'm anxious to see everyones first thread. This could be pretty funny.

I'll give this a try too...

Ummmm Thanks guys. I bought one 5 minutes ago thanks to y'all. My wife is gonna say "why'd you buy a neck knife when you can make one?" My reply will be "I sold a neck knife to buy a neck knife...and now I have a Beccker Necker". I'm fixin to take a romp in the woods with a few knives and play for a while.

Thanks

Okay, what the hell I'll play too :D Thanks for the chance.

Looks like I was more polite with my introduction than normal :p

Hello gents,

Due to the excellent information contained in this little corner of the internet, I have placed an order for my very first Becker, the Ka-Bar Campanion. Actually, this will be one of the first fixed blades purchased in quite a long time, the previous ones being a pair of John Schulps customs from back in the late 1990's.
Ordinarily I carry a Spyderco, but have recently gotten into Case pocketknives as well. Current favorite Case is an amber bone scale CV medium stockman. But I digress...
Looking forward to taking the BK2 out camping, and in the meanwhile keeping it in my emergency kit in the car. Looks like a real tank of a knife, but maybe some micarta handles would spruce it up a bit. Have to do some testing once it gets here as far as grip is concerned...

Just wanted to say thanks for helping guide another blade fan to a new way of spending $$$. This new acquisition disorder can go along with my safety razor AD, various shave soap AD's and various pocket folder AD's.

Thanks for your time and information

Finally found my second home. This place is awesome, a wealth of knowledge and Becker heads! I've only owned two BK&T's ; the Crewman and the Machax. I've carried both in Iraq as a Marine Infantryman and while I own many knives, the Beakers are my favorites hands down. I'm using this forum to help me decide on some from the K-Bar line. Ethan Becker you are a GENIUS!
I sold my first Machax on my departure from Iraq the first tour, around '03 and have been frantically trying to get it back until recently. After ebay searching over and over I finally came across a new in the box Machax, placed my bid and won!
The Crewman is just a great all around utility model no matter what I'm doing. The only issue I have with Beakers is that, between the ones I own and the ones I want to own they'd be too damned heavy to carry all at once .

Finally figured out how to find my first post!

Thanks for the chance!

I got all worked up about a fake BKT on sleazebay.

~Chris

I've seen stuff like this before, and I normally don't get worked up about it, but now that some manufacturer is mocking  my [our] beloved Beckers, is there any recourse to deal with this garbage?

This one is shipping in from overseas, but I've seen a couple of counterfeits in the past that were right here in the states, IIRC. The sad thing is, somebody who isn't too sophisticated when it comes to knives might get a fake and thinks it's the real deal, when it's not.

Being counterfeited under the Camillus brand, is it something Acme United would have to pursue, or is this something Ethan could go after them for since it's Becker branded also? Would it even be worth it, costwise?

I'm not trying to stir up trouble, but this really is aggravating. To me, anyway. :(

Becker knives & Tools. Long Live The Real Deal.

thx - cpr

Thanks man!

I know there are many threads here already about the subject but I was thinking on removing the finish on the blade, and exposed parts of the tang but leaving it under the handle slabs just in case and water or anything less got under the slabs...etc. Kind of like an added bit of protection under the slabs since I don't take them off often.

Any thoughts on this?

ha. my first started thread and immediately got snarked by guyon.

So today I got a new kydex sheath from chestnut ridge knife shop for my beast bk2. It looks great and seems to be a better solution than that of the factory sheath. Well, until I put the sheath on my belt, and the knife in the sheath. I couldn't get the thing out no matter how hard I pulled. So I took it off and had to use every ounce of force to yank it out. Now does neone know if this Goliath retention grip will loosen or do I need to hit the gym? Im scared to try it again before I know since who knows if ill be able to get it out again without taking a hatchet to it. The sheath looks great and seems to be of high quality, that is if i can get my knife out of the damn thing.

Hello, my name is Jeremy and I have been lurking on this forum for too long. I come here almost everyday and it is time I contribute to it. This forum has helped me make very educated purchases and for that I thank you all. I have had Becker knives for almost a year now and use them on a weekly basis. You can say I am a very satisfied customer. Here are some pictures because I know you guys like pictures! these are from two outings with my girlfriend. That ZK is ker knife. She had no idea it is marketed as a zombie killer she just loves the color and the tanto blade.

Enjoy

Well I'm new here and hope I'm not stepping on any toes. Have a couple questions. Can a person be a Beckerhead and still like, admire, own or lust after other knives? I have just come to this forum and I am in a Hangaround phase i guess you would say it seems to be friendlier here than some of the other places. So how does one define a Beckerhead and where do you draw the line? A bit about me I have a couple Beckers a Ka-bar lots of older knives some Gerbers a few Bussekin and who know what else. Don't have a Randall but I REALLY want one. Is it possible that I could one day be a Beckerhead?

Cool contest thanks :)
