The BK2 I purchased last summer. The BK4 was a Xmas present. Other than the jacked up homemade jimping on the 2 I'm really loving both of these monsters. Even with the jimping being fubarred I still love it. Both were stripped and covered with Mrs Renfro's green jalapeño hot salsa for a few hours. I'm super pleased with the result. So far not a drop of oil has been on either to test the rust prevention of the patina. So far, so good. It's an experiment.

They're used mostly for busting kindling for the fireplace. Just yesterday the 4 was in my day pack on a four mile death trek through the rugged terrain of Jefferson Memorial Forest in KY. Was muddy as hell but after landing on my butt and sliding 15' the 4 saved the day by chopping a lovely walking/anti muddy butt stick. Of course that was child's play but awesome to do.

I look forward to sharing the travels and escapades in the future.

Peace.

Edit: I'm also chomping at the bit for that Beckerhead number. KGO!

Not much you can't accomplish with that pair. Congrats.

Looking good so far. A 16 and an 11 sitting under those and you've got a family.

Not much you can't do with those two knives - which are pretty cool looking as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a bucketful, Ethan. You have a wonderful line up. Your video working with the 4 was a big push to me getting that sucker.

Really nice couple.

So, when there will be 9 with the same treatment?

A 9 might be a while. I do think I've found my type of patina. It's surprisingly durable. The green salsa will be my go to knife juice I'm thinking. Up next will be a 14 and 16 as funds allow.

Uncle E cast some kinda mojo jojo on those BK2's that just sucks us in.
It got me too brother.
Don't fret the jimping. That's personalized customized oneuvakind ain't no other like it!
