The following link is a map of all known BeckerHeads. The idea is to map everyone who wishes their location to be known, as well as highlight BeckerHead gatherings, passaround destinations, and so forth.

For right now, I will be managing the Google Earth .kmz file and uploading it to Google Maps regularly. I understand that this mapping idea was originally implemented by the RAT pack, but unruly dissidents caused some problems, so for now, the number of editors will be few.

If you wish to be placed on the map, you must post your BeckerHead number and location (city, and/or zip) here. Don't have a BeckerHead number? Talk to Moosez45

Yes Ethan will be #001 for sure. We are still working out the 0-10 BH#, so I don't have a number yet, I still got to get others taken care of first.

Not a problem. I mostly make maps using ArcGIS and Illustrator. Google Earth is dead simple to use, but it doesn't allow for the look of a really cool map like I want. Maybe when we get into the hundreds I'll gussy something up real fancy like. I'm just happy to be able to do something for the group.

Thanks for your efforts.. I agree I check the Becker forum every day now as it appears there are more posts, where before it could be days before someone posted...................
 
we can consolidate it with the main link at the top under the Beckerhead number list when that occurs... save space. simple signup too. will also put pointers in the FAQ and so on, so that we can find it.

trying to keep the number of stickies down to safe numbers unlike some forums ;)

That'll work! LOL... Just hate to see it get lost in the shuffle.
 
Ok guys, what am I doing wrong? When I click the link, I'm just getting a generic map of the US. I'm not seeing any pins or markers indicating who is where!?!?

do you have any web or javascript blockers installed? noscript for instance? disallowed something? firewalls?

try another browser

Yeah, it works when I use a different browser. Gonna have to change my settings in Explorer...
