Heyoo, over in the gorilla thread, Cobra posted up some copypasta of the original list of stuff that was put forth as perks for the Beckerheads. Here is a copy so you don't have to go thread hopping.

Here's what you can look forward to getting as a Beckerhead:
-You can use your Beckerhead number in your Location or Signature
-12 contests a year for gear and toys
-4 major contests a year for knives. These will be known as Ethan's Challenges and will be 1 for every season
-Take a tour of the Kabar Manufacturing (pending)
-Information on knife shows, and gatherings exclusive to the Beckerheads
-Beckerhead Gear, starting with Patches with your specific Beckerhead Number on it
-Privileges to participate in pass arounds, new product info, and new design beta testing
-More stuff as we go along, somethings aren't final or even thought of yet

Anywhoosles, I had a question about the fourth entry there, the tour of KA-BAR Manufacturing. I was kinda wondering what the possibilities were of making that happen? I assume a good deal of notice would need to be given and whatnot, but was thinking about trying to make a day of a trip to Olean to check out the factory. If that was cool, I was also considering it as a possible trip for my Scout Troop too, but first I would want to check it out with Pointy and whoever else I could drag along. Any idea if this is something that could happen? I am not really sure if this needs directed at the Mods or Toooj or whomever, but wanted to get the question asked.

I've wondered about that as well. I don't live that far from Olean, I'd definitely make the drive up for a tour.

I think they should just mail each of us a numbered key to the factory. That I can just come in after hours and look around, won't disturb a thing..... :D

Toooj is Samurai, and he doesn't sleep. If you feel like going up against that, you are more than welcome. I myself will refrain, what with my love of life and all. ;)

You mean with your love of lard and beans and all.

Yes, Toooj is a master Samurai, He's got a cool 1095 Naginata and a Katana. :D

I think this was a specific trip that Moose had bounced around.
I don't know the status or if Ka-Bar would welcome other tour groups.

Ka-Bar can pay for my plane ticket! Thanks. All I need is a BH number. I dont sleep either so it would be cool to hang out in Olean.

That was originally a thing I was working on, for the first few months, was a getting a trip together and collecting BH's along the way. I'll see what I can do, to find out a name and a number of someone to talk to about it, if that helps, but unfortunately, they have not granted us unlimited access to the Kabar Shop.

Lemme see waht I can do.

could be fun roadtrip. i'll bring a sack.

I talked to OKB, we're working on getting you an answer.

Patches are coming. Not numbered, but coming none the less.

Moose

It's settled, I'm transferring to your troop before I age out, do you guys have a Venturing Crew attached?

Not at the moment, although we are more than open to the idea. Problem is a lot of our boys move off once they turn 18 because this area doesn't hold a lot of options as far as the job market is concerned.
